News: Shoot, Busk, Blog

On September 10th in New York City, Hostelling International will be hosting a panel discussion entitled ‘Shoot, Busk, Blog: How to Travel and Share Your Experience.’ The panel aims to teach travellers how they can share their experiences with more than just a few friends and in the case of the panelists, a few thousand more.

The panel consists of the award winning documentary filmmaker Brook Silva-Braga, who left HBO to travel the world and make “A Map for Saturday,” a film exploring the subculture of long-term travel; The Lost Girls, three friends whose travel blog was made into a recent book and photographer Brock Fetch, a photoblogger whose site has allowed him to travel around the world.

This event is part of Hostelling International NYC’s 20th anniversary celebration and is free with registration. After the panel, there will be a live music performance by The Making of San Bernandino on the HI patio- the largest in New York City.
